Planet Word Museum - Anne of Green Gables - Voice Activated Diorama

In a vast, magical library at the Planet Word Museum there are 8 voice activated, book inspired dioramas hidden in the shelves. As a Canadian, I was asked to create one based on L. M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. Here is a close up of Anne and Diana. To read about this amazing place, you can read this Forbes article or go see them in person at the new Planet Word Museum in Washington.

Boston Children’s Hospital - Interactive Donor Recognition Wall

Amri Studio asked me to collaborate with them to create an interactive donor recognition wall. The background is constantly changing through multiple lighting effects. In the foreground, one can interact with chickadees that land near you on a branch if you come close enough to read the donor names. My family and I were able to visit it in person. It was such fun seeing my kids play with the chickadees. I love knowing it might bring some joy to the families at the hospital too. You can read about the project at Amri Studio.

Exhibition at The Elora Centre for the Arts - Chasing Shadows

In 2017, the show Chasing Shadows travelled to Elora, Ontario. Along with photographs and dioramas, I created shadow portraits of the visitors.

In connection with the Virginia Children’s Book Festival, I had a solo exhibition at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts, called Chasing Shadows in 2016. The exhibition included a 33 ft paper installation, photographs and dioramas.
